Vienna Woods Neighborhood Profile
The Vienna Woods subdivision of Vienna has two private clubs with swimming pools and other recreational activities for members only. The first club is the Vienna Aquatic Club, located southwest of Vienna Woods. The club has parties and events throughout the summer, but there are only a few activities other than pool games. A second private club with more activities is the Vienna Woods Swim and Tennis Club.
The Vienna Woods subdivision also features several parks, such as Southside Park, Cunningham Park, and Meadow Lane Park, which add to its charm and beauty. Cunningham Park has softball fields, soccer fields, and a tot lot just behind Cunningham Elementary School. The Town of Vienna operates Southside Park, which has hosted several Fourth of July fireworks displays. There is also a tot lot at this 17-acre park. Meadow Lane Park is the last of the parks and is a delight for young children. This small park has lots of slides, swings, and climbers for kids to enjoy. Children visiting this park can play on many tricycles, bikes, and scooters left by neighborhood families. These parks offer residents enjoyment and foster a strong sense of community.
The Orange Line Metro Station on Nutley Street is within walking distance of many homes in this community. With a stroll to the station, commuters will not need to worry about driving or parking.
